This blog ended up being rambly enough that I’ve trashed and rewritten it more than once now. I said things were going to change this year, without going into detail about what things or why. So before I get into the details… TLDR: I want to give greater value to the ones who support me on patreon going forward. That will probably manifest in…

This state of the scribe will be separated into two parts–the usual updates on the calendar for the upcoming month, then a few thoughts from me about my work here on Fimfiction in general. But we’re getting hit with so many new stories this month that I thought it would be better to put my more general thoughts into its own entry. Expect that…

Happy holidays everyone! It may be that season, but stories wait for nobody, so here we are. Some news, some new stories, and a few coming to their end, so let’s get started. First, stories ending. Mew Like Me will have its last chapter on the 28th. Anyone who has waited all this time to read it, I’ll post an ebook next month for…

Hey pones, sorry for being a day late. It was too spooky for me to post. We’ve got awesome stuff this month, so I’m going to get right into it. First of all, you’ll see a new story coming on the 18th, Hand of the Ancients. (At least, assuming we get the cover in time). This story focuses on Lyra Heartstrings, discovering the history…

Happy spooks to all pones out there. I’ll get right into the Calendar, since there’s not as much wild and reckless changes for this one. Thanks to all those who voted on the poll last month. The results suggest I should share information about stories I think I related to my usual writing, so I’ll continue to do that in little ways. No stories…

Hey everyone, these months are getting really fully again. Every month I think maybe I’ll have tapered things off enough to relax, but that hasn’t happened yet. Granted, we’ve got a pokemon story in there tilting things a bit, but that should hopefully get finished up quick with as fast as I write it. Before I go into the usual updates, I have a…

It is absolutely crazy how long I have been doing this. I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude at an audience who has stuck with me for this long, through all my failures and crazy experiments and hopefully at least one success in there somewhere. So I realized that I neglected to post the July Calendar to fimfiction last month, because the blog update endpoint…

Hey pones, got the update for June coming in! Let’s get right to the exciting stuff! First, Convergence will, Zutcha willing, have its cover in time to finally make its way to fimfiction, so that’s super cool. Not a new story to Patreon, but one I’m proud of nonetheless, so I’m eager to share. No other new stories coming this month, at least not…

Hey pones, another quick update with this month’s news. Hopefully you’re all doing well during this dark and confusing time. But the stories must go on, or else I’ll go insane here in quarantine. Only two pieces of news in this month, so that should be quick to get through. Convergence(I think I miss-titled it as Confluence on the last calendar) will finish this…

Hey everypone, sorry this is a little late. Our entire world is a little crazy right now–for the first time ever, it felt like the modern setting I was writing about in stories like Fine Print was more normal than the one outside. Hopefully you all are staying safe. Even crazier to me, I’ve been seeing a ton of new patrons joining, even during…
