State of the Scribe: March 2026

Well here we are again ponies, it’s always such a pleasure.

Part of me wonders how much detail I really need in these when I’m not releasing anything big or new. It’s more of the same this month, so I won’t waste your time with major news. The biggest thing on my end is still sitting in a holding pattern waiting for the artist to hand me the cover. So until then, I’m stuck.

But the usual stories go up, despite the issues with Patreon scheduling sometimes not posting them on time. But my main focus right now is getting Quarantine don, and getting covers for the two outstanding fics that I’d like to get on fimfiction (Legion IX and Family of Chaos).

I can’t say if I’ll start any other big pony stories when I finish up what I’m writing. I’m not sure what my future holds. I’m frankly amazed I’m still writing these after so long. But one way or another, these stories will finish as strong as I can possibly make them.

I published 3 novels last year. I’d like to double that this year, but it won’t be easy, it’s already march. Thing is, I do have 3 in the pipe I could publish at any time (when they get covers). 2 more that are in editing steps, and 1 that’s about halfway written. So when I put it like that, it doesn’t seem so insurmountable.

Thanks for your patience with my non-pony projects, and for coming along with me this far. I promise to make whatever comes next worthwhile.

• Into the Everwood is my take on the Bloomburrow/Redwall type setting. Small wild animals, a medieval/magical elements, wars to fight and mysteries to solve. It’s an anthro world, though you’ll find plenty of my usual hallmarks (like TF), ancient technology, human influence, etc. I’m hoping to see it work as a series, it’s one of those worlds that has so much going on it could sustain several books with ease. He becomes strange creatures, though his travels soon lead him to creatures he fears to leave behind.
